On the 16th of September 2021 DWD Technologies Group in partnership with the Jwaneng Town Council had a ground-breaking ceremony as DWD Technologies Group donated a borehole to the Jwaneng City Council at the Dladleng Entertainment Park.
And on the 28th June 2022 DWD Technologies group was honoured to hand over that donated borehole to the Jwaneng city council at the Dlaleng Entertainment Park. The ceremony was started with prayer by Pastor Irene Kesentse and the introductions were given by Deputy District commissioner Mr O.J Moruti to welcome those who had braved the cold day to witness and share in the wonderful event.
Her worship Olga Ditsie gave a speech and pointed out that the park had been dorment due to lack of water and how much the Jwanaeng community would benefit from this borehole and she shared her vision of the future for Jwaneng and its parks.
Appreciation remarks by Assistant Minister MLGRD, his honrable Setlhabelo N. Modukanale to DWD Technologies Group and he raised the importance of water that you could have everything but without water a community can’t grow. He also added the importance of maintaining the Borehole as this is vital to the reopening of the park.
Mr Rudie De Wet, Director of DWD Technologies Group, addressed the councilmembers and stated that it is important for DWD to give back to the community and support them in this project as they have been part of Botswana for more than 70 years plus.
Her worship Olga Ditsie and Honourable assistant minister Sethabe N. Modukanale were given the opportunity to open the tap for the new borehole that will help the community in the future. After the closing prayer and remarks the group was lead by Mr Rudie De Wet to the source of the borehole and officially handover the borehole to the Jwaneng community. Refreshments where shared after the ceremony to warm hands and further share in the event.
